Let's Catch Up

Hi there, remember me?! I've totally fallen off the blogging game. I know, no excuse, but life has just gotten so crazy, I've fallen out of the norm to sit behind my laptop and just write. There would be nights where I would tell myself that I needed to post a blog tonight, but then that voice inside my head started to say, "I'll do it tomorrow instead." Well, a few months later and I just needed a good writing session to re-inspire my brain once again.

1) First and foremost, I turned 27! I'm still in shock about it, I know I know. I don't feel like I'm in my late 20's or the fact that I am close to being 30. So much has happened in my 20's! You truly do figure out who you are during these times. I have to say these past few years have been the best years of my life. Someday's are harder than others, but its life and it will always throw curve balls at you.

2) Work life is always busy and I'm fortunate to work with a bunch of inspiring women. They make work not feel like work and I couldn't be happier to spend my days with them! They are also such a supportive group of ladies and push you to chase your dreams.

3) This past month, I've been working out atleast 4 to 6 days a week with Beachbody on Demand. If you've been a reader for quite some time, then you would've remembered when I did Beachbody prior, but as a coach. It was hard to juggle along with life and two jobs so I closed the door to that. But recently one of my dearest friends has been kicking major butt while in the program, that it inspired me to get my fitness game back on track. I'm the type of person who dislikes working out in a gym, so the comfort of my own home is key. I've been doing the Cize program with Shawn T for 3 weeks and although I'm not trying to lose weight, I have been cutting out certain foods and drinks and have noticed my body change! Each workout is pretty much learning a dance routine, but your also getting a full body workout while doing so. After each day, I wake up so sore. I honestly never felt this sore when I lifted weights, lol! I'm almost at the end of the program and I can't wait to do the deluxe version to add another 4 weeks to my fitness jam. Working out makes me feel so happy and helps with any stress or anxiety I may have. I try my hardest to avoid red meat, dairy, processed foods and high sodium and any types of alcohol or sugary drinks. I can't even remember the last time I had a soda. Also if I do drink anything alcoholic, it's really on special occasions and mostly wine, light beer or anything not mixed with a sugary mix. I feel like all of these combined PLUS working out 1 hour a day has made a difference not only on the outside, but a huge different on the inside.

4) Counting down the days until Cody and I are in Fontana, CA for the Nascar race. I've never been to one, but he watches religiously every Sunday. Funny story, I actually bought the tickets as his Christmas present. One night we went Christmas shopping and I decided to look at my bank account just to make sure I was managing my money okay. I saw a charge on my statement that said "Auto Club." It didn't register to me what it was and it was a pretty big charge. So I said, "whats auto club? I think my card has been hacked." Little did I know, it was the Nascar tickets that I had bought and Cody figured it out within 2 seconds. I felt so sad afterwards that I totally blew the surprise, but it made for a good laugh!

5) Cody and I celebrated our anniversary in Yosemite. He surprised me with a stay at a cute inn, just a few minutes from the entrance, and we spent all day wandering around Yosemite. If you haven't already, check out all of the pics I took on my Instagram.

6) One of my best friends is getting married later this year! I'm truly so excited for her and can't wait to celebrate her big day. I'm a bridesmaid in her wedding and it's going to such an amazing time. She deserves the world!

7) My other best friend is pregnant with her first child and he should be arriving within the next few months! It's so amazing watching your friends go through life and be there by there side. I'm blessed to still be close to the girls since were friends in high school. I get a long with pretty much anyone, but my close group of friends is zero drama and they tell it like it is! We always have the best times with one another and can't be more excited for their futures ahead of them.

Okay, that's enough for now. It's almost 10:30 and I've got to be awake early for work. I can go on and on with writing, but I'll save story times for another post. Hope this has kind of brought you up to speed! I'm more active on Instagram and write little stories on there.

Until next time,
Jessica
